NJBusJobs is committed to making this site usable for job seekers, including people with disabilities, and to improving access over time as the service grows.

Our commitment

We aim to provide a website and application flow that is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for a broad range of users. We use WCAG 2.1 Level AA as the working accessibility target for the public NJBusJobs site.

Accessibility measures in the current launch site

  • Semantic HTML structure with a declared page language
  • Text-based content and standard link/button controls that work without audio or motion cues
  • Persistent privacy, terms, and accessibility links in the site footer
  • A launch application that avoids unnecessary sensitive fields such as Social Security number, date of birth, and payment details
  • Brand-only public contact paths so applicants do not need to rely on personal operator details to request help

Known limitations and continuous improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing process. Some parts of the site may be improved further as we continue auditing color contrast, focus visibility, keyboard flow, heading order, form messaging, and assistive-technology behavior. We will prioritize fixes that affect the ability to understand the service, submit an application, or request support.

Need help or want to report a barrier?

During launch, NJBusJobs does not publish personal operator contact details. If you experience an accessibility barrier or need help completing the application, use the form at /apply.html and include the words "Accessibility request" in the notes field. That creates a private, brand-only support record we can review and route.
